WHEN we move into a new condominium, most of us would have a vague idea of how we want to decorate our unit.

The developer of Kelana Mahkota condominium in Kelana Jaya has made it simpler for existing and potential buyers by taking the lead to introduce “Thai” concept home.

SMI Cityhome Sdn. Bhd. Senior project manager Leong Mun Foo said the concept would give buyers an idea of decorating their homes.

“There are too many Balinese concept homes, so we decided to give something new to buyers. Thailand is also our neighbour and is known for their interior designing,” he said during a preview of a show unit at the construction site.

The three block of 23-storey condominium consist of 712 units, two levels of basement parking, clubhouse, swimming pool, multi-purpose hall with a tennis court, two badminton courts and two squash courts.

Other facilities include landscaped garden, jogging track, cafeteria, minimarket, gymnasium, child care centre and shops.

It is being developed on a 2.98 hectare land near the Kelana recreation Park.

The condominium will be completed by December.

There are two types of units – duplex with a build-up area from 1,724 sq ft to 1,814 sq ft and standard size of 1,260 sq ft to 1,352 sq ft.

Its real estate agent, Kim Realty’s chief executive officer Vincent Ng Eng Sim, said the 1,352 sq ft units were in demand among couples.

“The unit is spacious and the structural design creates a cosy feeling,” he said.

Before the Press conference, the media representatives were taken on a site visit to the 1,352 sq ft show unit. The unit comprises a spacious foyer which is next to a living room and the balcony.
